Laochra Gayle is an oblivious young girl with ambitions to become a super-hero. What she doesn’t know, however, is that her triad of best friends, Quinn, Hannah and Béa, already are super-heroes! In this story, we follow Laochra and her pursuit of heroism, all while her friends battle monsters under her very nose. The children struggle to juggle growing up and their heroic exploits – both real and imaginary. While Laochra uses her goal of becoming a hero as a means to distract her from the tragedy her family is still reeling from, her friends find it increasingly difficult to figure out exactly what kind of foe they’re facing – and how to keep Laochra from finding out.
